Who we are

This site is operated by 14698428 Canada Inc., a federal corporation incorporated in Canada on 22 January 2023, corporation number 1469842-8, with its registered office in Calgary, Alberta. The company operates under the name Wired Technologies. "We" and "us" below mean that company; "you" means anyone using this site.

What these terms cover

These terms apply to your use of usewired.com and nothing else. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

They do not govern our products or any work we do for a client. Those are covered by their own written agreements, and where an agreement and these terms say different things, the agreement wins.

How we handle personal information is set out separately in our Privacy Policy.

Using this site

This site is a set of static pages. There is no account to create, nothing to log in to, and nothing for you to submit. You may read it, print it, and link to it.

You agree not to:

• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or the server behind it;
• interfere with its operation, including by automated traffic intended to degrade it;
• present its content as your own, or use our name or marks in a way that suggests a relationship that does not exist;
• use it for anything unlawful.

Products and engagements

We describe three products of our own on this site, with their real status: one live, one in a free pilot, one still in build with no customers. A description here is not a commitment that a product will be available, will keep a particular feature, or will suit your situation.

Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, a quotation, or a contract. Work begins only when we and a client have signed a written agreement that sets out the scope, the fee and who owns what.

The information on this site

The pages here are general information about what we do. They are not technical, legal, financial or professional advice, and you should not act on them without speaking to us or to an appropriate adviser about your own circumstances.

We try to keep the site accurate and current. Statuses, stacks and dates change, and a page may be out of date between the moment something changes and the moment we update it. If something here looks wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

The photograph on the home page is licensed stock, and it is captioned as such. It does not depict our premises, our staff or a client.

Intellectual property

The text, layout, diagrams and design of this site belong to us or to our licensors, and are protected by copyright. "Wired", "Wired Technologies", "ChurchFlow", "SmartWaste Pro" and "wim" are names we use for our own products and services.

You may read, quote briefly with attribution, and print the pages for your own use. You may not republish the site or a substantial part of it, or use its content commercially, without our written permission.

The typefaces used here, IBM Plex Sans and IBM Plex Mono, are used under the SIL Open Font License. The home page photograph is used under the Pexels License; its licence record is published alongside it in this site's assets.

What we build for a client is not covered by this section. Ownership of the code, the accounts and the data produced in an engagement is settled in that engagement's agreement, and our normal position is that the client owns them.

Links to other sites

This site links to our own product sites and, occasionally, to third parties. We do not control any site we link to and we are not responsible for its content, its availability or its privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Availability and warranties

The site is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we publish no uptime figure for it because we do not measure one. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.

To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations about this site that are not expressly set out in these terms, whether express, implied or statutory. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, and nothing here removes a right you have that cannot lawfully be removed.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data or business, arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published on it.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Liability arising from an engagement is dealt with in that engagement's agreement, not here.

Law, changes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Alberta have jurisdiction, and this does not remove any protection available to you under the consumer law of the place where you live.

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

We may update these terms. The version and date at the top of this page change when we do, and the version then published is the one that applies.
